The graviton is an elementary particle
that transmits the
force of gravity. These particles can work over infinite
distances in zero time and come in unlimited numbers. They operate
in a fashion similar to a photon, but unlike electrodynamics where
the photons act directly on each other and their charged
particles, gravity simply doesn't work so simply. Gravitons are
created by any form of energy or mass. These particles themselves
individually carry very little energy, but en masse can produce
quite powerful forces. |
