ADVANCED SPACE-TIME FLUX PHYSICS

Physics Brief:
Advanced Space-Time Flux Physics is a study of complex gravity theory pioneered by engineers and scientists of the Yuufusion Imperium. Its theories are not commonly known or discussed outside the Amazon government, largely due to the Yuufusions long standing policy of isolation. There are still fewer outsiders who subscribe to their theories, as most other space-faring civilizations find many promises claimed by a mastery of gravity physics to be flights of fancy, instead preferring to pour research into conventional weapons and technology.

Early Yuufusion interplanetary culture relied heavily on a deep understanding of gravity, as early space pioneers were quite fond of "slingshot" maneuvering around planets and other stellar bodies in order to reach a destination. Even as Amazon society expanded into the interstellar arena with the introduction of hyperdrive, the tendency to use "slingshot" maneuvering and other gravity tricks remained. Modern starships are capable of precise hyperspace navigation within as little at one planetary diameter of a stellar mass. Their navigational computers can even calculate the course changes caused by close passing by solar masses, enabling pilots to effectively "slingshot" across the stars while in hyperspace in order to reach a destination.

Modern ASFLUX (pronounced ace-flux) technology is the direct result of centuries of studying charged, rotating black holes. The information garnered from such studies familiarized the Amazons with the versatile graviton as much more than a simple transmitter of gravitational energies. To them, gravitons are as central to physics as nadion particles are to the Federation.

Repulsorlifts, gravity railguns, and interdiction fields are crude and imprecise when compared to even the every day applications that Amazons make of artificial gravity, as often such devices are employed and marketed as children's toys.

Military application of this technology is considerably more impressive; ASFLUX knowledge gives Yuufusion cruisers the ability to manipulate battle situations quite often to their advantage. Specialized gravity fields can be used to slow the advancement of fighters or cruisers and gravity propulsion is widely used as an alternative to ion propulsion, pushing Amazon cruisers at comparable sublight accelerations. Their most powerful superweapons are capable of brutally pounding all but the most massive targets into debris, or slicing apart entire starships with the precision of a surgeon's blade.
