  Notes: One of the greatest assets of StarFleet is it's flexibility; as their ships are as much crewed by scientists as soldiers, their fleets are notorious for unorthodox battle strategy. Though generally not as heavily armed as some of the other powers (stemming from a distaste for weapons of mass destruction), StarFleet is by far the most technologically advanced military organization in either of the galaxies. Their primary weakness, however, stems from a long period of fleet stagnancy; though recently they have invested in some advanced and powerful starship designs, the most numerous class in the fleet is over three-quarters of a century old. The Federation has taken steps to correct this, but fleet renovation is a slow process and remains far from completed.
