The Reformed Sith Order

From TFC Galactopedia

The Reformed Sith Order was established by Emperor Yoda following his rise to power. As Master of the Sith, Emperor Yoda did away with the Rule of Two that forbid the existance of more than two Sith at one time. The Emperor also ordered the creation of temples for the training of young Sith on Korriban and Tyranus. The true numbers and strength of the Reformed Sith Order are known only to Emperor Yoda and his close circle.

Heirarchy of the Reformed Sith Order

Avatar of the Dark Side

As head of the Reformed Sith Order, Emperor Yoda declared himself the Avatar of the Dark Side. Considered by his followers to be the personification of their power, he is followed with blind loyalty by many. The true extent of the Emperor's abilities within the Force are known only to himself, a fact which has not kept all of the lesser Sith from attempting to unsuccessfully challenge his power and authority.

Hand of the Avatar

The Avatar's Hands are hand-selected by Emperor Yoda to serve as his mouthpieces. The Hands carry out the will of the Avatar with unswerving loyalty and are often assigned to personally achieve the Emperor's most important tasks. A Hand of the Avatar may be chosen from any rank within the Reformed Sith Order.

Dark Lord of the Sith

The Dark Lords who have risen to power under the Emperor have similar rank to former Sith apprentices such as Maul, Dooku, and Vader. Most Darths have been extensively trained in other Sith arts and have risen to the position of Dark Lord due to their brutal successes over their peers and those who would challenge the will of the Emperor. While other Sith may be referred to as 'Lord' or 'Lady', the title of 'Darth' is reserved specifically for those who have achieved the Dark Lord rank.

Dark Warrior

A Dark Warrior is trained as extensively in the arts of combat as he is in the use of the Force. He is a master of lightsaber combat and martial arts, and the Force is his weapon as well as his ally. They are the strong arm of the Emperor and are uncontested in their physical skills.

Sith Shadow

Though less powerful than the Darths and Dark Warriors, Sith Shadows are no less deadly. Shadows are heavily trained in deception, stealth, and speed and are often sent as the Emperor's personal assassins when a particularly troublesome rival must be dispatched.

Dark Monk

The priests of the Reformed Sith Order, the Dark Monks are stationed at Sith temples to supervise the training of new members in the Order. They oversee the early education of each Sith Dapawan and study the lore of the ancient Sith who came before them.

Hunter

Though not strong enough in the Force to be considered for training as a Dark Warrior or Sith Shadow, the Hunters retain enough power to help them track others through the Force. They are skilled in the martial arts, weapon usage, and have undergone survival training. Hunters are responsible for the killing and capture of surviving Jedi Knights, and are sometimes referred to as Jedi Hunters. Hunters often use unorthodox weaponry and techniques in order to achieve their aims.

Royal Guard

The Royal Guard are an elite order of Force-sensitive males. Members of the Guard are trained in the Echani art and given minor instruction to assist in detecting unseen threats through the Force. Guards are armed with Force pikes and serve as the Emperor's bodyguards; as such, only the Emperor knows their names and number.

Dapawan

A Dapawan is a Sith-in-training. The equivalent of the Jedi Padawan, Dapawans receive their instruction from Dark Monks at the Sith temples. A Dapawan may also be the personal apprentice of a higher-ranking member of the Order, but these appointments are rare as Emperor Yoda must personally approve each potential apprenticeship.

Dark Jedi and the Reformed Sith Order

Many of the Jedi who were exposed by the Sith during the Jedi Purges were turned to the Dark Side instead of being slaughtered. Because their powers and training vary heavily depending upon their background, the Dark Jedi have no official role within the Reformed Sith Order. Unless a Dark Jedi has been completely remade and retrained in the image of the Sith, they can achieve no rank within the Order, and are never referred to as 'lord' or 'lady'. Most Dark Jedi serve the Emperor by tracking down and killing lesser members of the Jedi Order.

Membership of the Reformed Sith Order

Known members of the Reformed Sith Order include Emperor Yoda, Shinsen Korriban, and the Dark Jedi Amarenth Jadeite (Grand Admiral Khal'Saad is also a member of the Reformed Sith Order; his Force abilities are considered secret, and his participation in the RSO is not a matter of public knowledge).
