Background:
Born on the planet of Veroduan VIII, 8½ months after Clan Tagget, a group of pirates who claimed to be mandalorian, was almost entirely wiped out in an ambush by a coalition of rival pirates. Her parents were both members of Clan Tagget. Her perents, survived the disaster and made it to Veroduan VIII via an escape pod. A few days after she was born, her mother died of the Veroduan Plague. Kim’s father, Sam took baby Kim to a local orphanage. He figured that Kim would be better off growing up on a planet, than with him in space. He left Kim there with her mother’s locket, and headed out into space looking for revenge. As young cub Kim always wanted to know how things worked. She would constantly stalk the janitor droids, watch them as they worked, and would always ask questions about them. The adults thought her curiosity was adorable at first. Then one day when Kim was around 4, all the droids went missing. When the adults asked Kim if she had seen the droids, she happily said yes, and lead them all up to roof. On the roof they were horrified to find that most the janitor droids had be completely disassembled, others looked like they were being put back together in bizarre configurations, and one half finished one that was screeching and flailing it’s arm around, which was attached to it’s head. As punishment Kim was forced to help the local Mechanic reassemble all the droids, which delighted Kim and annoyed the adults at the Orphanage.
When she reached the age of ten, the Galactic Dark Empire took over the Veroduan System, and she-along with all the other children in the orphanage-were rescued by Rebel commandos from the Green Berets. Since then, she has been working with the Alliance as a low-level tech-handling droids, and minor ship systems. Only recently has she been given some basic training as a pilot. Kim always wears her mother’s gold locket around her neck, with a picture of her mother and father inside. She does not know who her father is, but she knows his name.
Character Notes:
Kim a nice outgoing person. usually cheery. Has a flair for machines and new technology. She doesn’t like it when people mess with “her” machines, or technology. She is quick tempered when threatened and often suspicious of strangers. Her trust must be earned as it is not easily given.
Episode II Notes:
Kytlar D'harn left the rebellion after the disaster at Daktia, taking Kim with her. The deaths of so many friends and compatriots weighed heavily on the gray fox. Looking instead for work that would not involve them further in the war, they travelled to Bothawui and Kytlar took a job at Fen'yri's Used Ship and Parts yard. Kim used the opportunity to tinker and was encouraged to do so. Her mechanical skills far surpass what anyone would expect from a child of fourteen. Kytlar and Kim stayed there for roughly two years before being attracted to work aboard the shorthanded independent transport JAVELIN, bound for the Rift and Federation space, and desperately in need of experienced mechanics.
