Background:
Byrl, and his sister Lynis, were born in Kuat City to immigrant parents, who had moved from the outskirts of Hyllyrd City on Myrkr in search of jobs. Unbeknownst to their parents, the fact that they had to move at all was part of an elaborate experiment by the Avatar to see if the Vornskr population on Myrkr could be spread further around the galaxy without affecting their development in any negative ways. Which is to say, without tainting the nearly divine reverence for the Sith that had been instilled in the Vornskr population over time.
The Pyhri family was one of many groups displaced through economic manipulation and financial pressures, scattered to the four winds of the galaxy and followed by Avatar's Hands - Force-talented and incredibly loyal agents of the Avatar, assigned only to his most important tasks - to monitor their progress. When an announcement, convinently timed with the twins' eleventh birthday, that a charity-sponsored school similar to those set up on Myrkr was made and set to be constructed near the Pyhri's home, Dynl and Tylla were relieved that their children were going to receive a proper education.
As the twins went through school and grew older they received the same training that their peers on Myrkr did, despite the gap of lightyears between them. The only thing anyone ever thought of the additional charity-run schools, colleges, and recruitment centers being constructed in the run-down outskirts of Kuat City was "About time the government did something for those poor folks out there", and other like-minded positive sentiments. Nobody asked any questions about the content of the classes, or the training received by those thought to be good candidates for recruitment into the various branches of the armed forces.
The twins, however...were different. Only slightly. While they could manage passing grades with some effort when forced to function alone, they displayed an incredible increase in aptitude across all fields of study when functioning together. Diplomacy, debate, study, both armed and unarmed combat, but especially latent talents such as tracking and stealth. This caught the attention of the Hand watching the Pyhri family, which in turn caught the attention of the Avatar. Through careful examination, it was determined that Lynis and Byrl shared a kind of Force-based mind linkage, enabling the twins to act as a single entity when in proximity to each other. Thus was set in motion, at the relatively tender age of thirteen, their recruitment and training as Sith Shadows.
With the unquestioning loyalty to the Sith nearly bred into the Vornskr people and their various instinctual talents that have been honed through rigorous training, this pair of Sith are not to be underestimated.
Physical Description:
Both Lynis and Byrl stand roughly 5'8" tall, with Lynis barely shorter than her brother, and their builds are long, lean, and fast. They have a layer of short greyish-black fur, angular faces, and only three digits on each hand and foot. Their tails, like those of other vornskr, are long, whiplike, and tipped in spikes that emit a mild venom that can stun their prey. They do have hair in the traditional sense, roughly shoulder-length all around and the same color as their fur, which has been crafted into dozens upon dozens of tightly-packed braids. Most of the time, these braids serve to conceal their eyes. Anyone who manages a glimpse is witness to an interesting and wholly trivial display of rare genetics: Both Lynis and Byrl have solid black irises, rather than more common brown, blue, or gold.
Character Notes:
Lynis and Byrl are anthromorphic vornskr - a wild canine species native to Myrkr that hunts their prey in packs. Vornskr are the only animals known to use only the Force to hunt their prey, and these two are no exception. Their latent Force skills were tuned towards identifying strong presences in the Force and turning them into thin-sliced deli meats, and have since been honed into the weapons the twins regard them as. While they cannot perform any of the more impressive feats reserved for Sith Lords, they are capable with an array of lesser abilities and more than proficient with Breath Control, Cloak, Concealment, and Fear. They carry identical lightsabers, gloss-black hilts (very rough approximation; i r not expart 3-dee modelar. =B) with the standard crimson blade of the Sith, and fight as one. They also have the often unnerving tendency to casually move, speak, and act as one when not actively fighting, and refer to themselves with first-person plural pronouns, similar to how the Borg refer to themselves.
