Battle of Yavin

The Battle of Yavin took place in 1794 J.A. It was the first major victory for the Rebel Alliance, which successfully destroyed the first DEATH STAR during the battle. The battle, however, had very little long-term impact: though Rebel sympathizers flocked to join the cause in the months immediately following the battle, high bounties were placed on all of the individuals known to have participated, and the Rebels were forced into hiding as the Imperial Navy began a fierce campaign of retaliation.
