Andromeda Galaxy
The Andromeda Galaxy is the closest galaxy to the Milky Way Galaxy (a distance of approximately 2.5 million light-years) in the Local Group of Galaxies. It is also known as Messier 31, M31, or NGC 224. Andromeda can be see by the naked eye in the Northern Hemisphere of Earth, in the Constellation Andromeda.
- Andromeda began to have increasingly high levels of radiation, which prompted an exodus of the peoples of the Kelvan empire.
- In the TFC universe, VOYAGER was tossed not into the Delta Quadrant but instead into the much further Andromeda Galaxy. The ship and all hands are presumed lost.
