Background:
Simon T. Menta III was born in Imperial City, where he lived until the death of his parents. They were killed in an accident in 1794 (Janus Ager Calendar) by a Jedi who had flung his lightsaber to dispatch an Imperial VIP-Simon's parents had unwittingly stepped into the path of the weapon and were struck by it. Simon witnessed the whole thing and has since become bitterly hateful of the Jedi.

With no other family to turn to, he was sent to Carida to become an Imperial Storm Trooper. While at the Imperial training center, Simon became the victim of a diabolical experiment being performed by the Empire. The Imperials were testing a new method to create a "more perfect" storm trooper, and Simon was selected as a prime candidate for the project. Without his consent, the Imperials used a technique known as Force Synaptic Stimulation to erase Simon's free will and memory. From that day forward, Simon was able to complete his training with ease-not being hindered by fear or self-will. This gave Simon a distinct advantage over his classmates and allowed him to graduate from the Storm Trooper academy at the top of his class. But soon after his graduation, Simon began to regain his memories and sense of self-will, and experimenters were unable to perform the procedure successfully again. The Empire soon abandoned the project in favor of other, more mechanical, forms of military enhancement.

After becoming a full fledged Storm Trooper, Simon was posted on the DEATH STAR I as a command-level patrol guard. One night during Simon's shift, Darth Vader was attacked by a group of Jedi assassins. The guard who had been posted outside of Vader's chambers had disappeared, and Simon rushed in to defend his black-helmeted leader. Together, Simon and Vader were able to capture three of the Jedi assassins and kill the other three. Needless to say, Vader was extremely impressed with the young Storm Trooper. Vader sensed that it was a gross misjudgment to have such a loyal defender in the rank of a mere guard. He was immediately promoted to Admiral of an experimental Star Destroyer, the "Sentinel," an Imperator III Star Destroyer equipped with a cloaking device and a squadron of cloaked TIE's, better known as Phantom TIE's.

Even though Simon normally wouldn't have been considered strong enough in The Force to become a Sith or a Jedi, the Emperor granted his wish to be given an opportunity to train under Vader's guidance. Much to Vader's surprise-and Luke Skywalker's dismay-Simon has developed his skills to a rank below Sith known as "Jedi Hunter." With his unending hatred for the Jedi, and his constant thirst to learn more of The Force, Admiral Simon Menta III is an infamously fierce challenge to any Jedi who would come within his sphere of influence.
